Ed "Big Daddy" Roth  March 4, 1932 - April 4, 2001

Our Ride Home

The ride home woz pretty quiet the weather wasn't too bad and the scenery woz beautiful. Ed really loved the salt lakes and the Bonneville Salt Flats Raceway

To all of Ed "Big Daddy" Roth fans world wide:

Ed "Big Daddy" Roth's family, close friends and associates all vowed that Ed "Big Daddy"
Roth, Rat Fink and the gang will continue for future generations to come. We would like to
take this time to thank all of "Big Daddy's" fans for the support during the past few weeks.
The out pouring of e-mails along with flowers and gifts have been overwhelming. As Bio
Bert da Shirt said in his tribute speech, " Ed ... Big Ed.... Big Daddy ..Really Big Daddy,...
Ed Big Daddy ... Ed "Big Daddy" Roth will truly be missed by everyone".

Ed's love for Bonneville was evident with the last of his "Back From The Future" editorials written for Drive Magazine they were about land speed records and his love for the salt flats. Ed even wanted to have the next Rat Fink Reunion at Wendover A.F.B. near Bonneville. So on the way home from Ed's services a small group of us made this Roth memorial along side of Highway 80 going West through the Salt Lake Desert. You can find this landmark as you approach Bonneville. It will be located approx. 500 ft from the Bonneville Speedway off ramp going West. We invite any of "Big Daddy's" friends and fans to add to this memorial and if ya do send us a picture. The memorial is made up symbolic substrates and findings such as asphalt from the highway the center of the "O" consists of a Chevy hub cap, a reflector and food container and Oh yeah ... and a special thanx goes to K.C. for some of the Rocks that helped finish the project.

We Love you Ed,

Moldy
