Howdy gang Moldy here it's two dayz before the reunion and I'm on my way ta Wendover NV/Utah ta get things ready for all of our friends that will be attendin' this deal. The Road is clear and it's an absolutely beautiful day for a drive. Better keep my eyes on tha road... |
This here is Highway # 93 goin' north from Las Vegas. Many a dry lakes racer done cruize this here desolate road.
| Well about 50 miles out of Wendover Ophelia's Gages started actin' up.. My fuel gage along with my temperature gage were pegged. I gawt into town and checked into the State Line. |  |
Once I gawt all settled in I ate me sum dinner and checked out my shop manual .. It wuz tellin' me ta check my Voltage regulator so the next day the first thing I do is ta get ha hold of the folks at the State Line. We needed ta go over some stuff fer our ta'do that next day then after that I asked some folks where I might find me sum car parts and the all sent me over to the Car Quest down tha street.

Then this guy by the name of Dennis comes in ... he werks at the local Sinclair Station it just so happened that Mike owned that too. Well we found a Voltage regulator and Dennis invited me yup to the station ta use his shop'n stuff. When I gawt there there wuz a wole bunch of folks messin' around with Dennins's Truck.... he wuz gettin' it ready fer our big race tha next day. Well it started ta snow and so's I get's out sum tools and start werkin' on Ophelia. Once I get the Voltage Regulator in we go ta check it with Dennis's meters and the Generator stops werkin'. By this time Randy from the Wendover Raceway gets wind that I'm over at the Sinclair and shows up. Well Randy assures me that they'll fix me up one way or another and ta come on over to the Raceway ta check things out.

So I went down to the local Car Quest and there wuz a couple of guys standin' behind the counter the one on the left is the owner Mike and the one on the right is Zack. As I looks around tha place I notice all-o-this
Roth type Art. Well first I ask'em if'in they might have a voltage regulator for a fiddy-nine Ford. Zack says " we gonna have ta look it up ", so in the mean time I mention all of the art werk I'm seenin' and I ask "so who's doin' all this stuff". Only ta find out that Zack is the artist... Then they both ask me if'in I wuz
in town fer the Big Rat Fink "Big Daddy" Drag Race and Reunion well I introduced my self and it wus all down hill from there.
