The State Line Hotel Host To the Rat Fink Reunion 2001 

Group # 553478. 

We would like to thank the State Line Hotel for everything that they have done.  The State Line has offered their Show Room allowing us to bring in our own entertainment and Host our Charity Auction For the Shiners Children's Hospital Salt Lake City.  The entertainment and the Auction will be happening the evening of the 15th right after our daytime entertainment  at the Wendover Raceway.  The State Line has also given us a group rate for our stay.

Please follow these steps to reserve your room in the block that they have set aside for our group (# 553478).

Please call for reservations at (800) 354-3657.  You will need to ask for Bree Carr in Sales and Marketing. Or you can call Shannon the Hotels Outside sales rep. @ (801) 870-1491

Let her know that you need to make a reservation for the Ratfink Reunion Group #553478 for Dec. 15th, 2001.

Room Rates Are As Follows:

Thursday: $ 24.95 

Friday & Saturday $ 69.00 per night Double Occupancy.  Additional persons  per night $ 5.00 each.  4 people per room Max. Tax is to be added.

Transportation To The Hotel from Outlying City's

This information is provided as a courtesy, and is not necessarily an endorsement of one bus company over any other. In addition, this list is not necessarily a complete list of transportation providers, but is merely a reference to help with your transportation needs. the following bus companies have busses that run from Salt Lake and other outlying communities some that come into Wendover several times a day. 

Driving Directions from El Lay Via.... Las Vegas. All others Take I 80 as simple as that. 

Driving the ‘short way’ to Wendover from Las Vegas
Leaving from Vegas take I-15 North.
Turn on to 93 North (may be known as Apex off-ramp).

Follow 93 North going through Alamo and Ash Springs.
Just past Ash Springs you’ll want to take Alternate Route 318 North
through Lund.

You won’t want to go on the Extra Terrestrial Highway – that's the
scenic route of 93 ... So make sure you take a right and go to Lund.

Drive through Lund. When you get through Lund you’ll hook up with 93
again take a right hand turn towards Ely.

In Ely, make a left hand turn into town and follow your way out of town
towards McGill and on towards Wendover.

On a great day with the pedal to tha metal you can make it to Wendover in about 5
½ -6 hours. Total from El-Lay approx 10-11 hrs.... Not bad !!!!!!  But !!!!!!!!!

Just to let ya know 93 is a small hwy and if she is backed up with a lot of Slow Truck Like traffic and the weather can also slow ya down.... Worst case scenario would be approx. 15hrs. so take it from there.

Reunion Schedule of Events

Saturday: 

Set up is from 7-10am at the Wendover raceway 
We'll start things off at about 10am or so....... 
Drag racing will Start around 12:30-1:00 and end around 4:00pm 
I figure the Stripers kin start breakin' down and kleen up around say 3:00-3:30.. 

Then by 5:00pm we should be gettin' over to the State line for our get together in the show room.  Every one kin go back to there rooms and freshin' up etc. While the rest of us set up for the Shriners Children's Hospital Auction etc. 

I figure we'll start the festivities around say 7:00pm then it'll We'll have the Ridge Runners play one or two numbers then I'll give out the awards and we'll do the auction then the party will begin with more live music and who knows wot....... just go on from there... 
I'm gonna need a few folks ta help me with the auction. 

Sunday Morning don't know wot time yet.......... 
We will be going over to the Roth Memorial (Bonneville Off ramp) for a little Sunday fellowship.. we'll freshin' up the memorial and anyone that wants ta put their name or comments around the Roth name is more than welcome to... It will be written in stone !  After that we will disband and head for home.
